About Us!

Crafts, arts-music, drawing, painting, sculpting have been a part of the healing arts since the 1940’sZGordon UnLimited, LLC is born from a healing journey of life changing events.  Experiences with death, change of employment, additions and departure of children and other family members from the home and everyday lives can leave one feeling unfocused and sad for extended periods.  Art and creativity can be a great addition to any wellness regimen.

Christianne Strang, a professor of neurosciences at the University of Alabama Birmingham and former president of the American Art Therapy Association was quoted in the article of the American Congress of Rehabilitation “How The Brain is Affected by Art”, says: “Creativity in and of itself is important for remaining healthy, remaining connected to yourself and connected to the world.” Also, a 2018 article in American Nurse states, “tapping into creativity can reduce stress and increase positive emotion.”

On my wellness journey I attended a “Plant Night” event and found a level of concentration and focus that leveled up my healing process and added a vital tool to my “Tool Box” needed for the journey. One “creative” event helped to access new adventures, goals, interests and activities. As research and healthcare models have expanded to include creativity as an element of mental health, wellness and is included in the Whole Person Health Model that promotes resilience, health and disease prevention across the lifespan.
